Job summary

Altametrics is seeking a highly detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This remote role covers AP, vendor management, GL coding, AR, franchise/tenant billing and collections, and treasury operations including intercompany transfers.

Ideal candidates have CPA/CMA, a bachelor's in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of experience, strong Excel and Dynamics GP skills, and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• CPA/CMA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a transactional or general accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling); dashboards a plus.
• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to dig deeper.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and efficiency.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, ensure accurate GL coding, and timely payments via Ramp.
• Maintain and update vendor records; onboard new vendors and validate documentation.
• Perform regular reconciliations and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Prepare and issue billings to franchisees and tenants; monitor and manage collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide regular AR aging analysis to management.
• Assist with daily cash management, intercompany activity, settlements, and transfers.
• Support treasury reporting, banking relationships, and reconciliation of balances across entities.
• Perform accurate GL coding and journal entries; assist month-end/year-end close.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation; collaborate cross-functionally.
