Job summary

Penbrothers seeks a Network Engineer to support and enhance our managed network services with a focus on SD-WAN, Zscaler or Juniper Mist. You will actively optimize networks, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous service improvement across customer environments.

This role is 100% remote, with a mid-to-night shift (3:00 PM–4:00 AM PH time) and on-call support for high-priority security or cloud incidents. You will mentor juniors and collaborate with the NOC and Services teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ACTIVE CCNP certification.
• Deep technical understanding of Switching, Routing, BGP, VRFs, QoS, Multicast, Subnetting and IP addressing.
• Experience in high-pressure, low-latency environments such as Media Broadcasting or Finance.
• Experience upgrading firmware on switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless APs.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and incident systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, HaloITSM).
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to explain security issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve problems and incidents with limited supervision and within SLAs.
• Monitor queues, multitask, and prioritise work as needed.
• Troubleshoot network problems, identify root cause and escalate as necessary.
• Implement network changes and service improvements on customer equipment.
• Collaborate with NOC to resolve complex issues and maintain docs.
• Maintain end-user accounts, permissions and inventory; generate reports for Services delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge base.
