Job summary

Integrated OS is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our offshore finance team. You will handle a wide portfolio including SME, trusts, partnerships and companies, working remotely or on site as needed.

You will prepare tax returns, work papers, financial statements, and provide tax planning support, GST compliance, and bookkeeping. The role requires 5 years NZ experience, CA/CPA progress, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or related degree with major in accounting.
• Completed or working towards CA/CPA.
• At least 5 years of proven accounting & tax experiences in New Zealand.
• Understanding of NZ tax legislation incl GST, FBT, Companies Act.
• Strong commercial acumen with analytical skills.
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills.
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, latest New Zealand tax rules
• Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statement stage
• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals
• Assist clients with tax planning, GST, bookkeeping
• Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, management reporting
• Ensure documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with the client's compliance requirements
