Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Accounting & Tax professional to manage NZ tax compliance, financial statement preparation, and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio.

You will prepare tax returns, liaise with clients, and ensure accurate work papers and reporting across trusts, partnerships, and companies. The role requires strong knowledge of NZ taxation, proficiency with MYOB/Xero/Reckon/Excel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or related degree with a major in accounting.
• Completed or working towards CA / CPA.
• At least 5 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within New Zealand
• Thorough understanding of New Zealand taxation legislation (GST, FBT, Companies Act)
• Strong commercial acumen with technical accounting and analytical skills
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel
• Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
• Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics
• Collaborative team player across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Tax planning and preparation of tax returns and activity statements
• Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statements
• Preparation of financial statements for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals
• Assist clients with tax planning, GST, bookkeeping
• Undertake business advisory projects such as budgets, cash flows, and management reporting
• Ensure documentation and client files meet compliance requirements
