Job summary

Integrated OS is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to work on a broad portfolio of clients, including SME, trusts, partnerships, and companies, remotely or with an office-based setup. You will handle tax returns, financial statements, and planning under NZ rules for diverse entities.

The role requires a degree in accounting, CA/CPA progress, and at least five years of NZ tax experience, with strong English communication and software skills (MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel).

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.
• Completed or working towards CA / CPA.
• At least 5 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within New Zealand
• Thorough understanding of New Zealand taxation legislation including GST, FBT, Companies Act
• Strong commercial acumen with solid technical accounting and analytical skills
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel
• Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
• Collaborative team player across client teams
• Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics

Responsibilities

• Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, and NZ tax rules
• Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statements
• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
• Assist clients with tax planning, GST, bookkeeping
• Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, and management reporting
• Maintain documentation and client files in line with compliance requirements
