Job summary

BruntWork in the real estate development space seeks a Senior Project Accountant (Construction) for a multi-entity setup. You will own the 2026 accounting cleanup, monthly closes, WIP, job costing, intercompany reconciliations, and BuilderTrend integration, working remotely during US Eastern Time business hours.

This full-time role requires hands-on QBO expertise across several entities, building a structured chart of accounts, managing AP, POs, and vendor payments with dual approvals, and

Qualifications

• Construction or real estate development accounting experience, including capitalization to WIP.
• Experience managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, preferably with multiple company files.
• Experience with bank, loan, and credit card reconciliations.
• Ability to manage construction costs by project and cost code.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for multiple books.
• Professional written and spoken English for client CFO communication.
• Availability to work full-time during US Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2026 accounting cleanup and rebuild across entities.
• Establish QBO files for five active project entities and carry forward opening balances.
• Reconcile bank, loan, and credit card accounts for 2026.
• Manage WIP accounting, job costing, and BuilderTrend integration.
• Process AP, POs, bills, and payments with dual approvals.
• Prepare monthly closes and financial reporting for client leadership.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and complete handover for BuilderTrend workflows.
