Job summary

TeamUp is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for a full-time, remote, independent contractor role based outside the US. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close while maintaining GAAP-aligned records and providing clear financial reporting.

Requirements include 4–5 years of US accounting experience, a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, and strong QuickBooks Online skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of US accounting experience with a US-based firm across multiple clients.
• Experience with churches or nonprofit organizations is a strong advantage.
• At least 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience with strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, including AP, payroll, and other accounting transactions.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate balances.
• Maintain and review general ledger accounts for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and provide insights.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures with reconciled accounts.
