Job summary

Penbrothers International is seeking an autonomous Accountant for a full-time, permanent remote position. You will lead day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable workflows, and reconciliations, reporting to the CEO and coordinating with our German tax advisor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting/finance experience with German GAAP or European standards.
• Solid understanding of EU VAT structures and intra-community transactions.
• Experience with cloud accounting tools and standard finance software.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bookkeeping, AP/AR workflows, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with CEO and external German tax advisor on filings.
• Process invoices using MOSS and manage credit card/expense records.
• Issue service invoices via easyBill and post entries into DATEV.
• Support cash flow planning and monthly closing preparations.
• Assist with regulatory filings under German tax guidance.
