Job summary

Emapta is seeking a Senior AU Accountant to strengthen financial operations across international entities. The role covers AP/AR, month-end close, fixed assets, intercompany, and FP&A support, with exposure to Australian BAS/GST and UK VAT.

The position offers permanent WFH and a path to growth within a global finance team. The successful candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on accounting, advanced Excel and Xero skills, and a CPA-related qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification.
• CPA qualification preferred or actively pursuing.
• Experience with Australian BAS/GST and/or UK VAT is preferred.
• Hands-on accounting experience across AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, reimbursements, and customer receipts accurately and on time.
• Reconcile daily bank and credit card activity for AU and UK entities.
• Manage AP/AR aging, payments, and overdue queries.
• Post month-end journals including accruals and depreciation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support month-end close.
• Maintain fixed asset register and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management packs using Xero, Fathom, and Google Sheets.
• Draft P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; support budgeting and forecasts.
• Prepare BAS/VAT working papers and assist with audits.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and maintain policies.
