1840 & Company is seeking a remote Associate Accountant in the Philippines to handle full-cycle bookkeeping, financial statements, and analysis from home. You will manage AR/AP, assist in budgeting, and ensure CRA compliance while collaborating with clients.

Qualifications

4+ years accounting experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping.
3+ years graveyard shift and remote work experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and cloud accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accurate financial records.
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and payment processing.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Assist with client budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with CRA requirements, including HST, WSIB, and EHT.
Track and monitor client deliverables, following up proactively.
Communicate with clients and third parties to resolve financial matters.
Document client processes to improve efficiency and internal controls.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend improvements.
