1840 & Company is seeking a remote Associate Accountant for the Philippines with 4+ years in accounting, payroll, and financial statements. You will handle full-cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly close, while collaborating with clients to deliver insights.

The role requires graveyard shift availability and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. Growth into Accountant or Senior Accountant is possible within a supportive BPO environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years accounting experience including full-cycle bookkeeping
• Experience in payroll and financial statements preferred
• Remote work experience and graveyard shift availability required
• Proficiency in MS Office and cloud accounting software

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accurate financial records
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and payment processing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with CRA requirements and local regulations
• Communicate with clients and third parties to resolve financial matters
• Document processes to improve efficiency and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to streamline procedures and improve controls
