Job summary

We are Abacus Property Network, a property development company based in Rugby, Warwickshire, United Kingdom. We operate with Virtual Assistants and are expanding our proactive team. This full-time remote role offers flexible setup; robust internet and a capable PC are required.

You will manage bookkeeping, rent reconciliation, property payouts, and monthly reports, while handling VAT-related tasks and ad hoc administrative duties. Proficiency in Xero and UK accounting practices is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience in a financial role.
• High proficiency in bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
• Hands-on with Xero and UK accounting basics (VAT returns a plus).
• Experience in property accounting, including rent reconciliation, payouts, and expenses.
• Ability to prepare monthly property performance reports and financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; good communication and organization.
• Independent worker who can also collaborate with a team.
• Discretion with confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Property accounting, payouts, and rent reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly property performance reports and financial statements.
• Monitor property income, expenses, and profitability.
• Assist with VAT returns and related admin tasks.
