Job summary

Expedock is seeking a Property Accountant to support the UK client’s residential property portfolios, focusing on management accounts, reconciliations, budgeting and VAT reporting. This role is remote from the Philippines, aligned to UK business hours, with emphasis on accurate financial records, timely reporting, and collaboration with a dispersed finance team.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, perform reconciliations, assist with budgets and VAT, and contribute to property finance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general accounting experience with exposure to multiple ledgers.
• Experience assisting with management accounts preparation, accruals and prepayments.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and transaction processing.
• Strong Excel skills and handling large volumes of data.
• Attention to detail with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with UK accounting practices and VAT is preferred.
• Experience in property accounting or related real estate industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for property portfolios with accurate coding and budgeting versus actuals.
• Assist with month‑end activities including revenue recognition, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform financial analysis on capital and development spend.
• Reconcile bank accounts and merchant/card accounts.
• Support annual budgets and forecasts for properties.
• Monitor utilities contracts and assess spend and consumption discrepancies.
• Administer council tax and other property‑related financial transactions.
• Prepare sales invoices and manage inter‑company recharges.
• Provide support for the Purchase Ledger when required.
• Prepare and support VAT returns and ensure records are accurate.
