Job summary

OPTIMAL Unlimited is a U.S.-focused real estate accounting firm seeking an Account Manager to lead property accounting and bookkeeping from a remote location in the Philippines. You will supervise accounting teams, manage AP/AR, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliant financial reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting for property accounting.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting team and manage junior/senior accountants.
• Supervise AP/AR and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Lead bank and credit card reconciliations and financial reviews.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and coaching.
• Handle complex accounting queries and ensure timely closings.
• Ensure accuracy of vendor and utility postings, AP pay runs, and payroll via QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee financial reporting: Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and distributions.
• Manage move-out accounting, journal entries, accruals, HUD statements.
• Coordinate management fee pulls and property packet preparation with leadership.
• Maintain clear communication of financial operations.
• Utilize AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, RentManager, and QuickBooks Online effectively.
• Drive process improvements to reduce errors and boost efficiency.
• Review and supervise timesheets for billable hours.
