Job summary

Moritz is seeking a senior privacy lawyer to join its co-counsel network from the Philippines. You will draft and negotiate data protection agreements, assess privacy implications of AI deployments, and support incident response for global clients.

You will collaborate with a high-caliber team, translate regulatory requirements into actionable product-level guidance, and operate on an independent contractor basis to suit client engagements and SLA terms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practising privacy or data protection law.
• GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA expertise.
• Experience with international data transfers.
• Knowledge of AI privacy implications.
• Risk-based compliance approach.
• Bar admission in Philippines.
• Willing to obtain professional indemnity insurance if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of DPAs, SCCs, joint controller arrangements, and privacy terms in commercial contracts for clients across startups to enterprises.
• Advise clients on privacy implications of deploying AI systems, including training data, automated decision-making, transparency obligations, and EU AI Act intersections.
• Support incident response, including breach assessment, notifications, regulator engagement, and remediation.
• If you accept work with a known SLA, commit to meeting that SLA.
