Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a Compliance & Ethics Counsel Specialist to join our team onsite in Mandaluyong. The role requires a law degree, 3-4 years in data privacy, and fluency in English.

The candidate will conduct privacy assessments, risk evaluations, and contract privacy reviews, while supporting due diligence and policy administration. Experience with drafting data privacy schedules and stakeholder management is essential; IAPP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduated in Law with eligibility to practice.
• onsite work in Mandaluyong; willingness to work shifts.
• 3-4 years experience in data privacy, including assessments and DP Impact Assessments.
• Fluent in English with strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
• IAPP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data privacy assessments and DP impact assessments to ensure compliance.
• Perform local country risk assessments and privacy reviews.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data privacy schedules in contracts.
• Support ventures & acquisitions due diligence and policy administration.
• Design process flows and metrics for privacy programs.

Specific Position: Compliance & Ethics Counsel Specialist

• Graduate of Law degree
• Willing to work onsite in Mandaluyong (No details yet about the work set-up)
• Any shift assigned/shifting
• at least 3-4 years of experience in data privacy: Conducting data privacy assessments, local country risk assessments, privacy reviews and/or DP Impact Assessments, to ensure compliance with data privacy program and regulations.
• Understanding of regulatory principles governing data privacy at a global level.
• Fluent in English with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Experience in conducting data privacy assessments, such as local country risk assessments, privacy reviews and/or DP Impact Assessments, to ensure compliance with data privacy program and regulations.
• Understand the contractual principles required to draft, review, and assist in negotiation data privacy schedules for contractual arrangements
• Experience in supporting ventures & acquisitions due diligence activities, and policy administration.
• Ability to understand and design process flows and metrics.
• PREFERRED BUT NOT A MUST - IAPP certifications, such as CIPP/E or similar are a plus.
• Effectively stakeholders management skills, including experience with senior leadership.
• Skilled in legal research, including the use of GenAI tools.
