Job summary

Moritz, an AI-native global law firm, seeks a co-counsel for dispute resolution in the Philippines. You will lead case strategy, pleadings, evidence, and procedural steps for commercial contract disputes, shareholder and post‑M&A disputes, technology and IP matters, and arbitration.

You will advise clients on litigation risk, draft letters before action, settlement agreements, and tolling arrangements; represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings where licensed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practising commercial litigation or arbitration in private practice or in-house.
• Deep familiarity with contract disputes — breach, termination, damages, limitation of liability, and injunctive relief.
• Advocacy and procedure with rights of audience or substantial arbitration experience (ICC, LCIA, or local institutions).
• Strong drafting under pressure for pleadings, witness statements, and settlement terms.
• Commercial judgment: know when to fight or settle and explain to clients.
• Active license and in good standing with the bar / law society of Philippines; PI insurance maintained or willing to obtain.

The Role

• Serve as co-counsel for Moritz's dispute resolution work in Philippines: commercial contract disputes, shareholder and post‑M&A disputes, technology and IP disputes, debt recovery, and arbitration.
• Lead case strategy, pleadings, evidence, and procedural steps for clients ranging from startups to midsize and enterprise companies.
• Advise clients on litigation risk before disputes arise — contract audits, escalation strategy, settlement positioning, and dispute resolution clauses.

Moritz is a law firm and engages clients directly; co‑counsel are engaged by Moritz on an independent contractor basis to support those client matters under Moritz's supervision and quality standards. Moritz handles client intake, billing, conflicts checks, and matter management, so you can focus on the legal work.
