Accenture in the Philippines is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel - Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy to join its Global Data Privacy team as a permanent, full-time Manager. The role blends strong legal and privacy expertise with business acumen, focusing on AI and emerging technologies while embedding privacy into services, products and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in global data privacy law and practice in a global company, law firm, consulting environment or technology and IT sector.
• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Experience with major national data privacy legislation and cross-border privacy issues.
• Experience advising on privacy risk management, privacy reviews, privacy by design, incident handling, rights requests and regulatory inquiries.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex cross-functional projects across geographies and stakeholders.
• Experience designing or enhancing privacy governance frameworks, processes, methodologies and controls.
• Experience advising on privacy aspects of digital transformation, AI, cloud, analytics or emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of ICT or a technology degree/qualification.
• Experience monitoring privacy trends and translating them into actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic subject matter expertise to internal corporate and business functions globally on data privacy compliance and privacy by design.
• Lead initiatives to mature Accenture's global privacy program and governance frameworks.
• Drive improvements to privacy advisory processes for efficiency and consistency.
• Lead Privacy by Design reviews for new and existing projects and offerings.
• Partner with stakeholders to embed privacy considerations at the outset of new services and initiatives.
• Conduct legal research and apply risk-based assessments to new offerings and tech deployments.
• Advise on privacy considerations related to AI, analytics and emerging tech with a balance of innovation and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with Legal, IT, Data Privacy and stakeholders.
• Help maintain privacy review processes across regions and global programs.
