Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Principal Presales Engineer to enable customers to build the future of communications. You will lead technical discovery, design architectures, and deliver compelling product demonstrations for New Business and Strategic segments.

You’ll engage CEOs and software engineers, mentor others, and drive technical wins while partnering with Account Executives to close opportunities. Remote-first role, based in the UK, Ireland or Spain, with travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 10+ years in customer-facing technical delivery/consulting.
• Excellent communicator and presenter who can gain audience confidence.
• Engaging storyteller who conveys complex topics to varied audiences.
• Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide to a technical solution.
• Experience with REST APIs and web development concepts (JavaScript/HTML/CSS).
• Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security domains.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud architectures.
• Experience working with customers in the DACH region.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFPs, design documentation and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical and product sales, recommending best-practice solutions and guiding API usage.
• Establish trust by understanding customer pains and designing innovative solutions.
• Deliver highly interactive, complex product demonstrations to showcase Twilio’s capabilities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced Presales Engineers and contribute to the community.
