Job summary

GS Virtual is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to support a New York-based law firm on a fully remote basis. You will manage cases from intake through settlement or trial, working closely with attorneys and clients to keep every file organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities include drafting letters, preparing pleadings and discovery, filing via NYSCEF, and coordinating with insurers and medical providers. Strong English communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of paralegal experience in personal injury litigation; NY experience preferred.
• Know NY CPLR, NYSCEF, no-fault/auto accident claims.
• Experience drafting demand letters and handling discovery.
• Familiar with leading case management software (Clio/Filevine/MyCase).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong attention to detail; manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfortable with clients under stress; empathic and professional.
• Tech-savvy with reliable computer and quiet home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from intake through settlement or trial.
• Handle client intake, document collection, and status updates.
• Draft demand letters, settlement packages, and case summaries.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and court documents.
• File documents via NYSCEF and track deadlines.
• Coordinate with insurers, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
• Manage case calendar and attorney deadlines.
• Assist with deposition and trial prep, exhibits, and witnesses.
• Maintain accurate case notes in CMS.
