Job summary

OptiNizer is seeking a Remote Paralegal to support a California-based law firm in civil litigation. The role handles document prep, case management, and client communications, requiring strong English skills and meticulous attention to detail.

The position is fully remote, independent contractor with a full-time schedule aligned to Pacific Time. Ideal candidates have prior paralegal experience and familiarity with U.S. legal processes; law degree is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Paralegal experience required.
• Experience with a U.S. law firm is required (California experience is a plus).
• Civil litigation or mass tort matters experience is advantageous.
• Law degree or legal education is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage discovery responses, including discovery questionnaires.
• Draft, review, and organize pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and briefs.
• Ensure documents are properly formatted and ready for submission.
• Organize and maintain case files, records, and documentation.
• Track deadlines and filings to ensure timely progression.
• Communicate with clients for information and updates; provide case progress reports.
• Coordinate with attorneys regarding filings and compliance requirements.
