Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to support a growing ophthalmology practice in the United States. This remote, 30 hours/week role involves handling patient calls, scheduling, insurance support, and front desk tasks with a focus on accuracy and empathy.

The ideal candidate will have US healthcare admin experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently in a structured environment. Eastern Time availability and reliable internet are required.

Qualifications

One year of US healthcare admin experience in a patient-facing role is required.
Strong English spoken and written communication is essential.
Reliable, proactive, and able to follow clinic protocols with minimal supervision.
Experience using Nextech/Practice Plus and Reach UC is preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle front desk communications, scheduling workflows, and patient requests.
Manage calls, voicemails, and patient information with accuracy and confidentiality.
Route messages to physicians or staff; escalate urgent issues appropriately.
Document tasks in EMR systems and ensure timely follow-up.
Support triage-based scheduling and reminder communication per workflow.
