Job summary

Expedock is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end coordination of international freight shipments, primarily across ocean freight operations. You will manage shipments from intake and booking through departure and transit monitoring, ensuring accuracy in details, documentation, cutoffs, and costing.

You will routinely coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to maintain schedules, monitor in-transit progress, and elevate issues that may impact timelines or costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight and freight forwarding operations.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stages of forwarding processes.
• Proficient with shipping documentation, cutoffs, and tracking.
• Experience using CargoWise or similar freight systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipment intake and validation to ensure complete order details.
• Coordinate bookings and approvals with stakeholders to keep timelines.
• Prepare and manage shipping documents and cutoff requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in relevant systems.
• Update TMS and track milestones, especially departure.
• Monitor shipments in transit and follow up on delays or issues.
• Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to stay on schedule.
• Review shipment costing and related charges for accuracy.
• Identify issues affecting timelines or costs and escalate as needed.
• Maintain documentation and support process improvements.
