Job summary

Expedock is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end coordination of international freight shipments, primarily ocean freight, from intake to departure and tracking.

You will manage documentation, cutoffs, update systems, monitor in-transit shipments, and collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to keep shipments on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transportation operations.
• Ocean freight experience required.
• Experience coordinating shipments across forwarding stages.
• Proficient in booking, docs, cutoffs, and tracking.
• Experience with CargoWise or similar systems preferred.

About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to support the end-to-end coordination of international freight shipments, primarily across ocean freight operations.

This role will manage shipments from initial intake and booking through departure and transit monitoring, ensuring shipment details, documentation, cutoffs, system updates, and costing are handled accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

• Manage shipment intake and validation, ensuring order details are complete and accurate
• Coordinate bookings and customer approvals with relevant stakeholders
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation and cutoff requirements
• Create and maintain accurate shipment records in relevant systems
• Update TMS and shipment milestones, particularly around departure
• Monitor shipments in transit and follow up on delays, exceptions, or missing updates
• Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to keep shipments on schedule
• Review shipment costing and related charges for accuracy
• Track shipment status and ensure timely updates throughout the operational process
• Identify and elevate issues that may affect shipment timelines or costs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for assigned shipments
• Support process improvements and other operational tasks as needed

What You Need

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations
• Ocean freight experience is required, as the majority of shipment volume is ocean
• Experience coordinating shipments across multiple stages of the forwarding process
• Familiarity with booking, shipping documentation, cutoffs, and shipment tracking
• Experience using CargoWise, TMS, or other freight management systems is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong follow-through and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to identify issues, follow up proactively, and escalated when necessary
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced logistics environment

Technical Requirements

• Fiber internet (PLDT Fiber, Converge, Globe Fiber, etc.) - recommended speed of 100/50 Mbps
• Backup internet (mobile hotspot or secondary ISP) capable of at least 20 Mbps
• Quiet, conducive home workspace
• OPTIONAL: Wired Ethernet connection preferred during work hours
• OPTIONAL: Power backup (UPS) if the location experiences frequent outages
