Job summary

Ethos seeks experienced ML engineers to train language models on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slides. You will create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated outputs across core workflows, including design docs, data pipelines, and API specs.

This fully remote, flexible role offers 5–20 hours per week with start ASAP. Compensation is $80 per hour, with potential for more if desired.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a software engineer, data engineer, or AI/ML practitioner writing technical design documents, data pipeline documentation, or API specifications
• Direct experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting technical tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents across core workflows (technical design docs, architecture records, data pipelines, API specs)
• Develop and evaluate model outputs and system readiness reporting for engineers and stakeholders
• Produce high-quality documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with precise, clear communication
