Job summary

Winning Assistants, Inc. is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant — Prior Authorization to support a U.S. psychiatry and behavioral health practice from a remote Philippines location.

Part-time (20 hours/week) with potential transition to full-time; hours 10:30 AM–2:30 PM Central Time, Monday–Friday. The role requires hands-on prior authorization and insurance verification experience, proficiency with TherapyNotes and CoverMyMeds, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on prior authorization experience required.
• Experience with insurance verification and copay calculation.
• Healthcare administrative experience in U.S. practices.
• Proficient in navigating EHR/EMR systems (TherapyNotes preferred).
• Experience updating templates and preparing administrative paperwork.
• Strong computer skills and quick learner of new systems.
• Familiarity with CoverMyMeds is a plus.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on medication prior authorization requests.
• Review payer requirements and required clinical documentation.
• Communicate with insurers and PBMs to resolve requests.
• Track authorization status and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate authorization records in the EHR.
• Assist with clinical documentation templates and administrative forms.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and copay amounts.
• Coordinate patient intake, scheduling, and workflow communications.
