Job summary

The Back Room Offshoring Inc. is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities.

You will focus on reconciliations, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, cashflow reporting, and month-end activities, working closely with the Finance Manager and Account Lead from a remote location. Ideal candidates have solid bookkeeping experience and strong Xero skills, plus familiarity with AP automation tools.

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping experience in multi-entity or retail/distribution
• Strong working knowledge of Xero; exposure to a retail POS/inventory system is a real advantage
• Confident with reconciliations, clearing accounts and intercompany transactions
• Sound understanding of GST/VAT and day-to-day compliance
• Familiarity with AP automation tools like Datamolino
• Comfortable working in a remote setting and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Own the integrity of the POS to Xero integration and the clearing accounts
• Reconcile Xero clearing accounts and tender accounts, managing timing differences
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for debtor collections and store sales
• Prepare and file GST returns
• Maintain reconciliations for stock, PO accruals and intercompany loan accounts
• Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting
