Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper for a full-time remote role supporting a US-based accounting firm and its clients. You will maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, record transactions, and assist with monthly financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have hands-on bookkeeping experience and familiarity with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, or Xero, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and/or Xero.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping methods.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately manage and reconcile financial records.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial data entry.
• Accurately record and categorize financial transactions.
• Maintain complete and organized financial records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Review financial records for discrepancies and assist in resolving them.
• Ensure bookkeeping activities follow established company accounting procedures.
• Maintain supporting documentation and organized accounting records.
• Collaborate with accountants and other team members as needed.
