Job summary

Ganmain Partners, based remotely, seeks a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper located in the Philippines to manage bookkeeping for Australian clients. You’ll handle Xero-based tasks, BAS/GST reporting, and payroll compliance, collaborating with Australian accountants and business owners across time zones.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of AU bookkeeping experience, a degree in accounting/finance, and strong reconciliation skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bookkeeping experience, AU clients preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Xero.
• Knowledge of GST, BAS, and Australian compliance.
• High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with payroll & STP.
• Experience with tools like Hubdoc, Airwallex, or ApprovalMax.
• Background working with Australian accounting firms.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero (bank recs, AP/AR, journals).
• Prepare and assist with BAS and GST reporting.
• Support payroll processing (including superannuation & STP).
• Maintain accurate financial records and schedules.
• Assist with month-end reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Work closely with Australian accountants and business owners.
