Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper supporting Australian clients or accounting firms.
• Strong understanding of the Australian tax system and experience handling tax-related documentation.
• Experience working closely with Australian accounting and taxation processes.
• Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks (required).
• Experience using MYOB is highly advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end processes.
• Assist with BAS-related bookkeeping requirements and Australian tax documentation.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and financial records accurately.
• Support Australian accountants and tax professionals with bookkeeping requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Australian bookkeeping and record-keeping standards.
• Maintain organized digital records and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders as required.
