Company, a NZ-based Certified B Corp accounting and advisory firm, is seeking an Intermediate Accountant with NZ/AU experience to manage NZ compliance work and annual financial statements.

You will handle tax returns for a diverse client portfolio, work from a 100% remote setup under an Independent Contractor Agreement, and collaborate with BDMs to ensure compliant submissions. The role offers coaching and exposure to scaling businesses, with ASAP start options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years accounting experience, NZ/AU compliance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of annual compliance workflows and reconciliations.
• Proficient with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or working toward a professional credential.

Responsibilities

• Handle NZ compliance work and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and file periodic tax returns.
• Perform complex reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and QA checks.
