Job summary

Emapta Philippines, a leading outsourcing partner, seeks a Senior NZ Tax Accountant to support compliance, planning and advisory outcomes for New Zealand clients. The role offers permanent work-from-home with global exposure and ongoing professional development.

Ideal candidates have a CA/CPA or progress toward it, 5+ years NZ accounting/tax experience, and strong skills in MYOB, Xero, Reckon and Excel. Enjoy a day shift with weekends off and generous learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or related with accounting major.
• CA or CPA qualification or progress toward completion.
• At least 5 years of NZ accounting and taxation experience.
• Experience managing a broad client portfolio: SMEs, trusts, partnerships, companies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, activity statements and lodgements per NZ rules.
• Complete workpapers and reconcile accounts through statements.
• Prepare complex financial statements for entities (companies, partnerships, trusts).
• Manage accounting requirements for large groups and inter-entity reconciliations.
• Support tax planning, GST, and bookkeeping for clients.
