Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations in healthcare.
• Experience with US commercial plans, Medicaid, or both.
• Experience using payer portals and healthcare EHR systems.
• Strong understanding of eligibility workflows and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits with commercial insurance plans and Medicaid.
• Initiate and process prior authorization requests; track status to resolution.
• Review enrollment documentation and verify required information for enrollment.
• Manage patient intake and enrollment workflows; coordinate with front-desk VMA.
• Support provider credentialing and payer enrollment as needed.
• Update patient demographics and insurance data in AdvancedMD; prepare charts for appointments.
• Manage backlog and ensure cases progress toward resolution.
• Document SOPs and improve back-office processes.
