Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines seeks a Medical Coder - Inpatient DRG (IPDRG) with at least 2 years of inpatient DRG coding experience. You will analyze physician documentation, assign MS-DRG/APR, POA, and SOI/ROM indicators to ensure accurate hospital reimbursement.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, coding with EMR tools (Epic/Cerner/Meditech), and collaborating with HIM/PFS to resolve denials. Strong English skills (CEFR B2) required; Bachelor’s in allied health preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Inpatient DRG coding experience.
• Bachelor of Science in allied health field.
• CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification preferred.
• Excellent English communication (CEFR B2) in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records to assign MS-DRG/APR DRGs and POA/ROM indicators.
• Code using encoder software and EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).
• Collaborate with HIM and PFS to resolve issues and reduce denials.
