Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Services Estimator based in the Philippines for a 100% remote role. You will prepare air conditioning and ventilation designs and quotes for high-end residential and commercial projects using Plandroid and Simpro.

The position is offered as an independent contractor with alignment to AU business hours for collaboration. The ideal candidate will read plans, deliver accurate quotes on time, and have strong English writing skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read construction plans, mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to deadlines, accuracy and tender requirements.
• Excellent written English for quotes, clarifications and emails.
• Detail-oriented with reliable delivery of quotes within deadlines.
• Comfortable working remotely on a contractor basis.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand building plans, mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Design air conditioning and ventilation systems in Plandroid (correct equipment sizing, duct layout, zoning, ventilation).
• Choose brands, equipment and system types for each project.
• Build accurate quotes in Simpro with costs, labour and margins.
• Follow the company estimating standards and templates every time.
• Consider commercial requirements: staging, access, lead times and tender conditions.
• Keep quotes tidy, consistent and on-brand.
• Ask questions early when plans or tender requirements are unclear.
• Hand finished quotes to sales with a short summary for submission.
• Keep records in the shared drive and Simpro.
• Meet agreed turnaround times for each quote and tender deadlines.
