Job summary

Zanovoy is seeking a General Accountant to support multiple US-based clients from a fully remote setup in the Philippines. You will own books across the full cycle, perform month-end close, and ensure data integrity in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You’ll work with cloud-based systems, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timely delivery. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• Licensed CPA in Philippines preferred.
• 3–5+ years general accounting experience in public accounting, outsourcing, or shared services (US-based clients).
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting through month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with cloud systems: QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Ramp.

Responsibilities

• Lead expense management activities: AP, billing/invoicing, accruals, payroll, vendor maintenance.
• Lead revenue management: AR, revenue recognition/deferrals, revenue processing, customer maintenance.
• Lead system management: journal entries, account reconciliations, asset/liability entries.
• Perform month-end close: close schedule, sub-ledger reconciliations, adjustments, bank reconciliations.
• Build transformation rules for correct GL posting across clients.
• Learn client back-office systems: financial, payroll, CRM, billing.
• Review own work and teammates’ for completeness and accuracy.
• Onboard new clients into managed services.
• Prepare schedules and artifacts for audit and tax support.
• Research and resolve accounting issues; escalate with solutions.
• Manage time to deliver client work on schedule and budget.
• Contribute to internal initiatives: docs, knowledge mgmt, enablement.
• Perform other month-end close activities as needed.
