Job summary

MCVO Talent Outsourcing Services is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant in Makati for full-time work with US clients. You will lead accounting processes, review complex issues, and prepare financial reports to ensure compliance with US standards.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, or 10–15 years in local industry with at least 2 years in a US accounting firm, plus proficiency in QB, Xero, Sage, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 6–10 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, and/or 10–15 years in local industry with at least 2 years in a US accounting firm.
• Experience handling multiple accounts/entities.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, Xero, Sage Intacct or similar software.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
• Ability to do bookkeeping with minimal supervision and payroll processing.
• Experience with cleanup and catch-up projects is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work remotely.
• Fluency in English (writing and speaking) required.

Responsibilities

• Supports accounting tasks including AP/AR, cash posting, and basic bookkeeping.
• Reconciles bank and credit card statements.
• Prepares monthly sales tax reports and 1099s.
• Prepares and reviews monthly financial statements (balance sheets, P&L).
• May provide payroll and accounting admin support.
• Participates in month-end close meetings.
• Escalates issues to clients or tech staff as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
• Communicate with clients and staff in English.
