Job summary

PERSONA is hiring a hands-on Technical Operations Specialist to own first-line investigation across our fintech production banking and payments infrastructure. You’ll troubleshoot money movement, logs, and API responses, read traces, and determine escalation paths.

The role blends technical curiosity with strong communication to resolve issues that CTO traditionally handles. Ideal candidates have deep fintech or payments ops experience, can work with US business hours, and will help sustain

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical operations, payments operations, banking operations, or fintech support role.
• Direct fintech, banking, or payments infrastructure experience with money movement.
• Comfort investigating production issues—reading logs and tracing API requests.
• REST APIs, webhooks, HTTP status codes; Postman or curl for debugging.
• Ability to write and run basic SQL queries against transactions and system data.
• Strong communication, ownership, and the ability to escalate to engineering when needed.
• Fully fluent in English and able to work U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of investigation for issues in banking and payment systems.
• Troubleshoot money movement problems (ACH, wire, card, instant payments).
• Investigate API-related problems, including payloads, error codes, and retries.
• Read production logs and transaction traces to isolate root causes.
• Determine where issues occur in the flow and decide next steps or escalation.
• Own production troubleshooting that would otherwise fall to leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and external partners to resolve issues quickly.
• Document recurring patterns, root causes, and resolution steps for knowledge base.
