Job summary

Facelove is a fast-growing DTC beauty brand scaling in the US. The Head of Finance will own the close, cash, budgeting, and forecasting, building scalable systems while collaborating with Dutch accountants on statutory filings. This hands-on role expects independence as the first finance hire, reporting to the founders.

Responsibilities include cash forecasting, margin reporting by channel, and ensuring clean accounting across Shopify and payment methods, with multi-currency capability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting or finance, with at least 2 in ecommerce or consumer products.
• Owned a monthly close, not just contributed to someone else's.
• Inventory and COGS accounting experience, including landed cost.
• Multi-currency and multi-entity experience with FX and intercompany.
• Strong modelling ability in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Fluency with Shopify or ecommerce platforms and cloud accounting systems.
• Experience explaining variance to non-finance founders without hedging.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly on a fixed calendar with an auditable trail.
• Manage bank, payment processor, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain chart of accounts, accrual policy, and clean records at scale.
• Develop and update 13-week cash forecast and weekly cash/runway views.
• Oversee inventory/COGS accounting and revenue recognition across channels.
• Handle payroll, contractors, accounts payable across currencies.
• Produce monthly/weekly reporting packs and ad hoc analyses.
