Job summary

SearchApi is a real-time SERP API delivering structured data from 100+ search engines and sources. This Engineering Manager will own delivery end to end, run cadences, surface risk early, and be the first escalation point when something breaks. You lead through clear writing and good decisions, building managers of one.

We’re a lean, bootstrapped team. You’ll run in a remote, high-output environment, owning metrics like cycle time and reliability, and you’ll hire and grow engineers who don’t

Qualifications

• Written example of how you ran a delivery process or unblocked a team.
• Experience leading a small, high-output engineering team.
• Incident command experience and blameless RCA mindset.
• Proven ability to hire at a high bar and coach engineers.

Responsibilities

• Run the cadences: planning, standups, retros.
• Track the state of every active project and surface risk early.
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, review latency, reliability; avoid theater.
• Coordinate incident response and run blameless RCAs that change outcomes.
• Grow the team with 1:1s, coaching, and a high-bar hiring pipeline.
