LawnStarter is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional delivery teams of engineers across time zones. You will own both delivery and people outcomes, fostering growth, performance, and accountability in a distributed, AI-forward environment.

You will lead with a people-first approach, align with Product and Design, and drive architectural direction while improving throughput and team health. This is a remote role with structured work hours and a focus on long-term impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams of engineers with measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to build growth plans for individual contributors and promote teamwork.
• Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong track record of adopting AI workflows to improve throughput and quality.
• Data-driven with metrics to describe team performance and delivery predictability.

Responsibilities

• Own both delivery and people outcomes with zero delegation of critical results.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams and coordinate with Product, Design, and other engineers.
• Balance business value against technical risk and make disciplined tradeoffs.
• Drive AI adoption within the team, including tooling, review, and sprint processes.
• Protect top performers, address underperformance with a structured plan.
