Job summary

BizForce is seeking an experienced Copay Collection & Rescheduling Specialist to support a U.S.-based pulmonary and sleep medicine practice. The role focuses on collecting copays and balances, rescheduling appointments, and optimizing provider schedules using Veradigm (Allscripts).

You will ensure accurate payments, investigate patient accounts, and maintain HIPAA-compliant workflows while communicating clearly with patients in English. Remote, US-hour coverage, weekly pay.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in medical pre-visit collections or front-office operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Veradigm (Allscripts) required.
• Proven experience collecting copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and balances.
• Knowledge of insurance eligibility verification and benefits coordination.
• Experience managing appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication, especially about finances.
• HIPAA and PCI compliant payment processing familiarity.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
• Experience supporting pulmonary/sleep medicine or specialty practices.
• Familiarity with sleep studies (PSG/HST), PFTs, and CPAP appointments.

Responsibilities

• Review upcoming appointments in Veradigm to identify balances and copays.
• Call patients before visits to collect copays and patient-responsible amounts.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient financial responsibility.
• Provide estimates for services including sleep studies, PFTs, and visits.
• Post pre-visit payments in Veradigm securely.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements per policy.
• Coordinate with front desk on pending balances and copays.
• Escalate disputes to the billing team as needed.
• Schedule pulmonary consultations, sleep studies, and CPAP follow-ups.
• Notify patients of changes and pre-visit instructions.
• Maintain records of communications and scheduling in Veradigm.
• Follow scheduling templates and practice protocols.
