Job summary

Rushmore Construction Group is seeking a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to own day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple entities, including rental properties. This is a remote, contract role focusing on data entry, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting with a CPA-preferred candidate.

Ideal applicants have 3+ years in construction/real estate accounting, strong QuickBooks Online, BuilderTrend, and DoorLoop experience, and are comfortable building workflows in a fast-moving, small-team

Qualifications

• CPA license (active) strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in construction/real estate or trades.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online and multi-entity management.

Responsibilities

• Enter and code receipts, bills, and invoices across BuilderTrend, QuickBooks, and DoorLoop.
• Create and issue invoices; maintain job/cost-code coding.
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping: classifications, reconciliations, GL maintenance.
• Manage A/P and A/R end-to-end; monitor aging and cash flows.
• Assist in project-costing, margin analysis, and financial reporting.
