Job summary

MCI is seeking a Collections Representative to join our BPO contact center in Manila. You will contact customers with overdue accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain accurate records while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English, with 1–2 years in collections or a contact center, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Spanish language skills are a plus. Health benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Spanish fluency is a strong advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in collections or a contact center role.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Familiarity with debt collection laws and practices.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue payments and account status.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements in line with company policies and customer circumstances.
• Update customer accounts and document all collection activities in the system.
• Follow up on broken promises and maintain consistent contact with debtors.
• Handle disputes professionally and escalate complex cases as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality of information.
• Meet or exceed daily and monthly collection targets and call quality standards.
