Job summary

Farra Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Estimating Contractor based in the Philippines to assist our Australian projects on a remote, as-needed basis. This independent contractor role focuses on quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and tender pricing for civil works.

You will support the estimating team, review drawings, perform take-offs, and help prepare pricing submissions while maintaining detailed records for auditability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience estimating Australian civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian civil construction methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review Australian civil construction drawings and specifications.
• Complete quantity take-offs using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX or similar software.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Assist with tender build-ups and pricing submissions.
• Identify material, labour and subcontractor requirements.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with Farra Civil's management team during tender preparation.
