Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking an experienced Services Specialist Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to support a Queensland project from a remote location in the Philippines. The role covers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services, generating Bills of Quantities from contract docs and coordinating with the Queensland team.

The ideal candidate will have strong reading of services drawings, cost control knowledge, and experience with takeoff and contract documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in services estimating or quantity surveying within construction, with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic exposure (hard requirement).
• Experience interpreting services drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Demonstrated experience preparing Bills of Quantities and comparing contract documentation to identify scope and quantity differences.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Bills of Quantities from Head Contract Documentation for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services.
• Compare with current issue documentation and identify design/quantity differences.
• Prepare detailed variance reports to support Head Contract variations.
• Coordinate with subcontractor documentation and assess variation quantities.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve discrepancies.
