Job summary

Blu Bookkeepers is seeking a Bookkeeper in the Philippines to handle the majority (approx. 80–85%) of recurring bookkeeping work for Australian clients.

This is an internal delivery role reporting to the Client Manager, with emphasis on clear documentation and timely client communication. You will reconcile bank transactions in Xero, manage payables/receivables, process journals and payroll, and prepare BASIAS workpapers, while keeping Karbon updated.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on Xero experience.
• Previous Australian bookkeeping experience across multiple client files.
• Knowledge of Australian GST and correct GST coding.
• Knowledge of PAYG withholding, payroll, STP and superannuation compliance.
• Experience with bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable and month-end bookkeeping.
• Ability to prepare BAS and IAS workpapers/reconciliations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-client accuracy.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote setup in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for your client portfolio and complete work to the agreed schedule and standard
• Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions accurately in Xero
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, including bills, invoices, payments and reconciliations where included in client scope
• Process journals, including accruals, prepayments and other approved month-end adjustments where required
• Complete month-end bookkeeping tasks and prepare the file so the Client Manager can review it efficiently
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations at the frequency required for each client
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts including wages payable, PAYG withholding, superannuation payable, GST control accounts, loans and other accounts within scope
• Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with client instructions and Blu procedures
• Prepare BAS and IAS workpapers and reconciliations for Client Manager and BAS Agent review
• Keep Karbon updated so the Client Manager can see the status of every assigned task
