Job summary

Yong Real Estate is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Officer to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and account administration for a portfolio of business units. This remote role suits a detail-oriented finance professional who can work independently.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in bookkeeping or accounting, with strong MYOB/Xero skills and knowledge of Australian BAS/GST requirements. CPA is a plus; Bachelor in Accounting required.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA qualification is an advantage but not required.
• Experience with Australian BAS/GST requirements is essential.
• Experience with Australian companies or firms preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping incl. AR, reconciliations, GL entries.
• Prepare monthly reports and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet).
• Manage multiple accounts and cash flow; ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS in line with Australian requirements.
• Liaise with government agencies and tax adviser.
• Update ASIC records when required; maintain organized docs.
• Support tax return prep and audits with accurate records.
• Handle ad-hoc duties to assist admin team as needed.
