Job summary

Chargeflow is seeking a hands-on Billing & Collections Manager to lead the team, own end-to-end billing and accounts receivable, and drive financial accuracy in a fintech-focused environment. The role bridges Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and proactive recovery actions.

You will coach and develop the team, optimize processes, and scale operations as Chargeflow grows.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial operations role.
• Proven people-management experience leading a Billing, Collections, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations team.
• Experience setting team priorities, monitoring performance, managing workloads, and holding people accountable for results.
• Hands-on management style and willingness to dive into operational details and customer escalations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of billing processes, collection strategies, account reconciliation, and accounting principles.
• Experience with billing platforms and CRM tools such as Stripe, Shopify, HubSpot, or similar.
• Previous experience in fintech, payments, or payment processing.
• Strong analytical skills translating data into actionable insights.
• Excellent English and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Billing & Collections team with clear expectations and growth opportunities.
• Set team priorities, allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure execution against targets.
• Establish workflows, quality standards, escalation paths, and operating procedures.
• Manage end-to-end billing cycle from invoices to contract compliance and pricing verification.
• Own accounts receivable and cash reconciliation with accurate records.
• Monitor aging and overdue balances; guide the team to reduce bad debt.
• Handle sensitive customer conversations and manage escalations.
• Assess bad-debt risk and define long-term collection approaches.
• Conduct periodic reviews to support revenue recognition.
• Support cash-flow forecasting and provide KPI reports.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and scale the function.
• Build relationships with key customers to preempt issues and ensure satisfaction.
