NightOwl Consulting Philippines Inc. seeks a BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and data solutions supporting business operations. You will craft scalable data models, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights using Power BI and SQL within a cloud environment.

The role emphasizes governance, documentation, and efficient data pipelines, with remote work capability and ongoing opportunities in analytics and data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data-focused roles.
• Strong experience with Power BI and DAX or similar BI tools and languages.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation.
• Experience with data modeling (dimensional modeling, semantic layers).
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance practices.
• Experience with structured deployment processes (e.g., CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Develop and manage datasets, data models, and semantic layers to support reporting.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into reporting solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reporting systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting solutions.
• Implement and maintain data governance and best practices.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure) to support analytics solutions.
• Assist in integrating data from internal and third-party systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency.
• Provide support for production BI and analytics systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.
